UrbaCon International (UCC) | Sr. Web Designer / Developer

The Candidate Profile: 

Enthusiastic, multi-talented Sr. Web Designer/Developer to work closely with IT & Marketing or Branding Team within the company, develop and manage high visibility web projects and guide efforts from concept through delivery. The right candidate must have a great eye for design and layout, ability to code PHP, ASP, ASP.net, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and enjoys a team-based environment. Experience with CMS (Content Management System) is required. Strong communication skills, a high level of flexibility, good attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks/projects are key. 

Responsibilities: 

- Act as the business owner to plan, design, develop and expand UCC’s corporate Web site, including managing future updates, content creation, landing pages, etc. 

- Initiate development of A/B and multivariate testing of site content and design to discover what works best with a target audience. 

- Ensure that all coding is implemented in a timely manner, while ensuring a very high-quality look and feel / aesthetic to support all of our interactive and services launches (adhering to corporate branding / style guidelines). 

- Liaise with key business and IT teams (understanding the company's business and client goals) to ensure stylized, integrated, and aligned solutions are created.

Skills

- 5-8 years of relevant experience being an innovative Web producer, Web manager or Webmaster. 

- Strong graphic design skills and a high degree of skill with Adobe Creative Suite applications 

- Proven ability to develop and maintain Web properties (Expression Engine, JavaScript/JSON, X/HTML, CSS, XML, CGI, PHP, MySQL, ASP, ASP.net, SQL, Content Management Solutions, Web Accessibility Guidelines) and implement integration features to third-party sites and services (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint, APIs, etc.) is definitely a plus. 

- Strong time management and organizational skills. 

- Good knowledge of user experience, site usability requirements, and an overall great design sense. 

- Successful track record interfacing and communicating effectively across cross-functional teams (business and technology), with a proven ability to translate business needs in to polished Web and graphic design solutions. 

- Extensive familiarity with SEO (Search engine optimization) best practices. 

- BS/BA or equivalent preferred in Digital Media, Web Design or related field.
